He arrived at mendoza to, among other things, participate in the integral enhancement of the square Italywhich included the inauguration of the central fountain and a series of sculptures by the artist Orlando Leytes, in homage to Dante Alighieri.
The ambassador was very happy to participate in this visit, and said he was very moved by the treatment and affection of various Mendoza personalities and businessmen linked to Italy by blood or friendship.
“Our compatriots in Argentina are more than a million and make this country the place that welcomes the largest Italian community abroad. It is a lively, dynamic community that is deeply linked to the economic, social and cultural fabric of Argentina, with the which the Embassy and the consular network dialogue in a constant and fruitful manner, also thanks to the excellent relationship with Com.It.Es, the CGIE and the dozens of associations present in the 24 Argentine provinces,” he said.
From the municipality of the capital, on the other hand, they stated that they had carried out, together with the FondItalia foundation and the consulate, one of the most heartfelt actions for the Italian community in the province. It is neither more nor less than the installation of a set of sculptural works on the fountain, called “All for love”, a title inspired by the final phrase of the “Divine Comedy”, by Dante Alighieri, 700 years after its passage to the inmortality. It is a legacy of Italian culture worthy of being represented in a public space.
The event, which took place despite the rain, was attended by Mayor Ulpiano Suarez, Governor Rodolfo Suarez, the Italian ambassador to the country, Fabrizio Lucentini; and the Italian consul in the province, Piero Vaira.
a special lunch
Surrounded by the beauty of the parks and vineyards of Villa Rosa, the property that Cecilia Zunino and Adriano Senetiner have in Luján de Cuyo, select guests enjoyed a typically Italian meal while the gathering, greetings and various anecdotes unfolded slowly. . In the following video, you can see a panning of the exclusive treat:
Prosciutto with burratta, ricotta souffle gnocci and pork tenderloin were the dishes that followed, while a delicious set of typical Mendoza sweets were the dessert. For the coffee, jams from San Juan put the finishing touch.

Several were the wines that were uncorked, but the one that got the applause was the Carmenere Adriano, a wine that Senetiner does not sell and only shares with a few friends. “I have always dared to innovate, I have never stopped valuing tradition. In homage to the variety, I vinify this unique plot that is from this land where we are now, Alto Agrelo, and I bottle it in the last quarter, a ritual that I reserve for my best wines. The result is a spirited, intense, elegant wine, and I trust that it is long-standing. Any similarity with my personality is mere coincidence. This wine is my legacy: Ecco qui il mio lavoro”, explains the legendary winemaker Adriano Senetiner when characterizing this elixir that everyone pondered.

“I am very committed to strengthening the abundant bilateral relations, in the economic-commercial, cultural, academic and scientific spheres, thanks also to the extraordinary contribution of the Italy System in Argentina, made up of the seven Consulates and the two Consular Agencies, the two Institutes Italianos de Cultura, the ICE Agency, the Teatro Coliseo, the Chamber of Commerce, the University of Bologna and the ENIT, and even by the Italian schools and the centers of the Dante Alighieri Association, the two Italo-Argentine Centers for Higher Studies that work in the UBA and in UNCUYO and the more than 250 Italian companies that operate in the country”, said Ambassador Lucentini.
